Coffee Sock | Organic Cotton Coffee Filters | #4 Cone | Pack of 2
These coffee filters are a reusable alternative to paper filters and nylon sacks. They are very durable and can be expected to last a year or more. All filters are sewn and packaged by happy human beings making a fair and living wage in the USA.
The cotton absorbs some of the oils released from coffee beans yet lets acids pass through. This allows you to get a cup of clear crisp, rich and robust coffee with all the acid of paper brewed coffee, without the paper taste, and all of the richness of French press without the heavy oiliness.
End of Life: You can add to your compost bin. Cutting filter into 1 inch pieces will hasten decomposition.
After brewing, discard grounds (great for the compost), and thoroughly rinse the filter. Hang filter to dry. Periodically, once every 4-6 weeks boil filters in fresh water to remove accumulated coffee oils. If the filters are soiled with perishable food at anytime, boil for at least 5 minutes to sanitize.
100% handmade from USDA certified organic cotton.
Cotton is grown in Texas, India and Pakistan. All is GOTS certified Organic. GOTS also monitors labor practices and working conditions.
